Richard Nathaniel Wright was an American author of novels, short stories, poems, and non-fiction. He is best know for his novel “Native Son” (1940). Wright moved to Chicago in 1927, when he was 20.

The back of the postcard features a quote by Wright: “I HAVE FOUND THAT TO TELL THE TRUTH IS THE HARDEST THING ON EARTH. HARDER THAN FIGHTING IN A WAR, HARDER THAN TAKING PART IN A REVOLUTION.”
